To wash and iron cotton T-shirts, turn them inside out and wash in cold water (30–40°C) on a gentle cycle with similar colors. Air-dry in the shade to prevent shrinking and fading. Iron while slightly damp on a medium-hot setting, preferably on the reverse side to protect the fabric.
Washing Cotton T-shirts
- Preparation: Always check the care label, turn garments inside out to protect the fabric, and wash with similar colors to prevent fading.
- Water Temperature: Use cold water to avoid shrinking.
- Cycle & Detergent: Use a delicate or gentle cycle with a mild detergent.
- Avoid overfilling the washer to prevent damage.
- Stain Treatment: Pre-treat stains with detergent before washing.
Drying and Care
- Avoid Heat: Never use a hot dryer, as this causes significant shrinkage.
- Air Dry: Line dry or hang your T-shirts in the shade, avoiding direct sunlight which can fade colors.
- Storage: Fold cotton T-shirts rather than hanging them to prevent stretching.
Ironing Cotton T-shirts
- Method: Iron on a medium-hot setting while the shirt is slightly damp to make removing creases easier.
- Reverse Side: Iron on the reverse (inside) side to avoid creating shiny spots, especially on dark or printed shirts.
- Neckline: Be careful around the collar, ironing gently to prevent stretching.
