Description

In the heart of Nepal, where ancient traditions and spiritual wisdom converge, Tibetan Monks have woven their expertise into every detail of these exquisite singing bowls. Crafted with reverence and care, each bowl is a masterpiece in itself, resonating with the very essence of the Himalayan mountains.

Enrich your product selection with this Mantra-engraved bowl. Handcrafted in Nepal using brass, copper, bronze, iron, and silver, it offers retailers the opportunity to provide customers with a unique and sacred sound meditation experience.

Mantras are sacred sounds, words, or phrases often used in meditation and chanting practices. The engravings of a specific mantra on this bowl carry its unique vibrations, allowing individuals to connect with its inherent spiritual power and meaning during meditation.

How to use:

To use a Tibetan singing bowl for healing or meditation, start with a correct posture: hold the bowl on a flat palm or on a special cushion so as not to dampen the vibrations.

Here are the two most commonly used methods:

The Strike Method

This is the simplest technique and ideal for the beginning or end of a meditation session.

  1. Posture: Hold the mallet (the wooden beater) like a stick or baton.
  2. Technique: Gently strike the outside of the shell, just below the rim.
  3. Result: Let the sound and vibration die out completely before striking again. This creates a deep, resonant tone that helps with relaxation.

The Ironing Method (Rimming)

This allows the bowl to ‘sing’ by creating a constant, singing tone.

  1. Warm-up: Strike the bowl briefly first to start the vibrations.
  2. Posture: Hold the mallet like a pen in your dominant hand.
  3. Technique: Move the mallet clockwise along the outer edge with even pressure. Use your whole arm instead of just your wrist, similar to stirring in a large pot.
  4. Adjustment: If you hear a rattling sound, press harder and move a little slower.

Key Tips for Success

  1. No fingers on the side: Do not touch the sides of the shell with your fingers, as this will stop the sound immediately.
  2. Choose the right side: Most mallets have a wooden side for higher tones and a felt or leather-covered side for deeper, softer tones.
  3. Intention: For healing, it is common to set an intention (such as ‘inner peace’) before you start playing.
