Cedarwood Essential Oil is a warming and restorative oil extracted by steam distillation from the wood of Juniperus virginiana, sourced from the USA.
Cedarwood Essential Oil is known for its wide range of health benefits, including antiseborrheic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, tonic, astringent, diuretic, emmenagogue, expectorant, insecticidal, sedative, and fungicidal properties.
This oil is particularly effective in relieving symptoms of seborrhea, also known as seborrhoeic eczema—a condition caused by overactive sebaceous glands leading to excessive sebum production and skin infections. Cedarwood oil helps regulate sebum production, reduce inflammation, and alleviate skin peeling and redness, especially on the scalp, eyebrows, and other hair-bearing areas.
Cedarwood Essential Oil also supports wound healing by preventing infections and protecting against tetanus-causing bacteria. By reducing the burden of toxins, it assists the immune system and white blood cells in maintaining overall health.

10 Ways to Use Essential Oils
1. Aromatherapy Diffuser
Add 2–8 drops to an ultrasonic diffuser to disperse scent and improve mood.
2. Surface Cleaner
Mix lemon tea tree oil with water and vinegar in a spray bottle for a natural disinfectant.
Dilute with jojoba carrier oil for direct skin application to treat spots or use as perfume.
4. Dryer Balls/Laundry
Put 2–3 drops on wool dryer balls to scent clothes naturally, or add to homemade laundry powder.
6. Steamy Shower/Bath
Add a few drops to shower walls or in bath salts to create a spa-like, relaxing atmosphere.
5. Room/Yoga Mat Spray
Mix water, a small amount of rubbing alcohol (as an emulsifier), and oils in a spray bottle.
7. Passive Diffusion
Apply drops to cotton balls and place in gym bags, trash cans, or cupboards to eliminate odors.
8. In Your Bath
Dilute 5–20 drops of essential oil in 1 tablespoon of a carrier oil (like jojoba, coconut, or almond) to prevent skin irritation. Add this mixture to your bathwater after the tub is filled, and stir well just before entering to maximize benefits.
9. In your Shower
To use essential oils in the shower for a spa-like experience, add 5–15 drops to a damp washcloth, a shower steamer, or directly onto the shower floor away from the drain, allowing the heat to create aromatic steam. Popular, safe options include lavender for relaxation, eucalyptus for congestion, or bergamot oils for energy.
10. Natural Repellent
To create a natural essential oil spray, combine 20-30 drops of essential oil with 2 tablespoons of rubbing alcohol (to emulsify the oils) and fill the rest of a 4oz glass bottle with distilled water. Shake well before each use to refresh rooms, fabrics, or linens naturally. Most used oils are Citronella and Peppermint.
